On Friday, September 28th, from 5-8 we will be hosting the VIETRI Founder's Event, right here at COVER STORY Los Altos! Join us for a fun evening to meet Susan Gravely, the founder of VIETRI. Susan will be here to share the history of VIETRI and it's unique Italian beginnings, autograph your VIETRI pieces and share the latest VIETRI collections.

That evening, you'll also enjoy special savings. We will offer 20% off your VIETRI purchase, including special orders. Throughout the night we will have lovely VIETRI door prizes, (you'll need to be present to win).

We always have a good time at our event nights and want you to as well! We will be pouring vino and serving antipasti from Pompeii Restaurant.

Susan Gravely is Chairman & CEO of VIETRI, Inc., a wholesale company of Italian handcrafted dinnerware and home and garden accessories. With its main distribution center in Hillsborough, NC, VIETRI owns a showroom in Atlanta and is represented in the major tabletop markets of New York, Los Angeles, Dallas & Toronto. 

VIETRI was founded in 1983 by Lee Gravely and her daughters, Susan and Frances after a family trip to Italy where they fell in love with the colorful hand painted Italian dinnerware on the Amalfi Coast. VIETRI is now America's largest Italian importing company in the tabletop industry, partnering with over 20 Italian manufacturers. With approximately 40 employees, VIETRI serves a customer base of over 2,000 accounts including ALL 50 states, Canada, England, Mexico, South America, Asia and Australia.

Described in 1993 by Ceramica Veneta as a "modern fairy tale", VIETRI is regularly featured in House Beautiful, Oprah, Bon Appetit, Elle Decor, Martha Stewart Weddings, Brides, Traditional Home and Coastal Living.

VIETRI has won the ARTS award for Excellence in Tabletop in 2006, 2007, 2009 and 20011 AND has been named one of the top 40 Family Friendly companies for its commitment to creating a family friendly environment for all employees. VIETRI is active with Hospice and many other non-profit organizations. 

Susan attended Salem College and holds a BA in Education and an MS in Recreational Therapy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

In 2002, Susan became an Honorary Citizen of the town of Nove, Italy. In 2003, she was the recipient of the Salem College Distinguished Alumni Award and was named the Entrebizneur of the year by North Carolina Business Leader Magazine in 2004. In 2008, Susan was a finalist for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the year. She sits on the Rocky Mount Cord Company Board of Directors, the Advisory Board for VISION, and the Advisory Board for SunTrust Bank in the North Carolina Eastern Region. 

Susan is proud to be a member of the Executive Committee of the Women's Leadership Council at UNC in Chapel Hill. She is a frequent guest speaker and panel participant at the Business Schools of UNC - Chapel Hill, Duke University and other universities and organizations in the area. She was the keynote speaker at the Atlanta Southern Women's Conference in November 2012. 

Susan is married to Bill Ross and has two stepdaughters. Her favorite things in life are her family, her home and her friends ~ and VIETRI!
